The Gallery
Agnes Keller started Artsystems Gallery in New York City in 1992.
The gallery has a strong history of supporting Artists from diverse backgrounds. Keller started her gallery on Mercer Street. During these formative years, the gallery built a reputation for creating important and challenging contemporary art exhibitions.
In 2000, Keller moved her space in New York City to 27th street in the Chelsea gallery district. There Keller was able to expand her exhibitions and create increasingly ambitious, museum-quality shows. The gallery began attending art fairs such as: Art Basel, Basel, Frieze NY, Paris Photo, and Frieze London.
Keller expanded her gallery to include a Los Angeles space in 2008. With the gallery’s expansion into the new space, Keller added internationally acclaimed artists to her roster.
